Seems to me that there is a disproportionate number of drama queens on the 'tubes.  Makes me wonder.  Is it the relative anonymity that makes people give in to impulses they might otherwise contain, if it had consequences, as in a relationship or a job.

Or is it something about forums that attracts drama queens.  Or maybe DQ tend to post more and get involved more. I dunno.  Part of the attention whore thing, I'll guess.

phpBB board fora can use a Firefox plugin called "baleet," which is, in essence, an ignore function. Since simple machines doesn't use the baleet plug-in, we have to suffer trolls and tards that never (or rarely) contribute anything useful to discussions.

It's like me using Trillian and not having the use of IRC ignore. I have to ignore "manually" and just not respond to dumbarsery.

Funny you should mention that. I was looking over that the other day. I'd say that we are at about stage 5 or 6, though contrary to predictions the soupers seem to have forgone the sockpocket method. I would say that we're at stage 7, but the WOARZ haven't started again...

...yet.

Looking at the latest member info under the news box is often entertaining.  When you see usernames like notapuppet in there, who was last active 1 second after they registered, you have to chuckle.

Err....no.  That was just a quick comment before I went back to being on topic.  The topic is BLUESOUP is it not?  From the accounts here, she seem to fit the drama whore profile.

Both Bluesoup and Brynne had the dubious distinction of being favored by Pescado (at different times, of course).  Their drama didn't start until those roles ended.  Drama is repetitive at MATY, but with different players.

Not at all confused.  But yes, the saga of the Queen Bs could have been purely coincidental.

Well, as near as I can tell, she was generally annoying, then got pissed off because she had to do all the work with the booty at PMBD, then she quit that, but blew up when Pescado replaced her, deleted her forum "Be Less something-or-other" (I forget exactly what), then became the First Souper For Whom All Other Soupers Are Named, then came back to lurk and post occasionally. Also, she has a fat head.

I got all this from searching her posts and other people's posts about her, so some of the details may be off. If I got anything wrong, anyone care to correct me?

The thing about Bluesoup's work with the Booty is that Bluesoup has an incredible talent for crafting an image of being the sole person responsible for the booty, when in fact there were several of us working to acquire and share files for PMBD. She was also quite territorial, and wanted as little people as possible to help her out, which of course didn't help because she wasn't exactly speedy or efficient about the process. I recall that when Pescado asked me to start up TSR Must Be Destroyed, she sent him a PM to say, "don't give her access to the FTP server" except she sent it to me by mistake. I honestly cannot see her doing TSR on top of everything else, especially given that the sheer number of TSR files to share is at least 10 times the amount of files from all the paysites put together!

To this day I still have no idea why she went so far as to delete PMBD and BLS, but I hear that she's getting the therapy that she needs nowadays. I hope she is at least feeling more stable and less prone to erratic acts, especially in a community space where people would be affected by her actions.

I was a regular poster at BLS--and found it to be a great community.  I didn't talk much to Blue Soup, but I talked to the other people there.  I was very sad when she closed it, and I haven't been a "regular poster" at a forum for a long time.  I have no idea what went on behind the scenes or what caused the drama of "Blue Soup Failed Us."  It's none of my business and I really don't give a kitty--but I was very disapointed in her for closing down BLS.

Yeah it's nice to go out and have an actual life instead of revolving it around oooo who can i be an asshole to today. on an internet forum. cuz i'm so fucking cool. 

...and incidently, I didn't come back for drama. It just never left.  I actually just reinstalled my game after not playing it for like a  year. ooo can you hurt my feelings some more and call me more names? It really hurts. ouch. You may have scarred me for life.*yawn*
