How do I make CAS pets into townie strays?

I know it's done in SimPE somehow but can't figure it out.
Can someone help please?
Keep in mind I'm a newbie with SimPE.

There is an easier way. Move said cas pets into occupied lot. Get said occupant to invite over a townie friend. Give said pets to said townie. You now have strays. Go you.

Even better is to sell the pet to the townie. Then you get a bit of money.

I think Inge's latest teleport shrub (actually, it's a teleport cat now) has an option to do this.
I used simpe myself, but I'd rather not have to explain exactly how.
