'She' who? Crumplebottom, I believe. I ended up summoning her to one of the Downtown lots because after three generations of public makeouts, woohoo, and general Sim debauchery she still hadn't made an appearance. I haven't sent another Sim out yet to see if that kickstarted her into being in everyone's business. |

There seems to be some confusion. I believe Jelenedra is concerned that her game is throwing errors when it tries to spawn the Unsavoury Charlatan, which it should do if she does not have one spawned already, even with antiredundancy loaded.

Yeah, I posted error logs, and going through all them seem to indicate that the errors I was getting on a Bluewater Community lot was the same error. Failure to spawn a pickpocket. So it's not just my Vacation hoods that's getting the error.

Well, I'm crap at reading error logs, but are you sure it's not some outdated hack that accidentally got left in when you upgraded to BV? Old versions of the visitor controller were known to cause all sorts of problems in BV, for example.

I'm sure. I went from a completely reformated hard drive to BV, remember? No old downloads to clutter things up. But when I get home, I'll run a Clean Installer scan.

If you have the Visitor Controller installed, I'm fairly sure that it blocks Crumplebottom by default. |

I think TJ changed that with the latest version, so that no NPCs are automatically banned -- you have to ban them yourself.

Having "summoned" all three Charlatans in my 'hood now, it also seems that they are not all identical - perhaps that is only to be expected. I'll try the "fix flashing blue" method next time I get one. As an aside, 3 charlatans is the redundancy imported by installing all 3 of the neighborhood templates. You sholuld probably just delete them down to 1. |
