On the subject of Castaway's water system, has anyone considered the possibility of an exe hack? One could probably also grab the ability to use the larger sized sc4 terrains as well, among other things.

Havelock made some CS clothing conversions, undies are included there. Look for the txtures there.

Note: The CS Clothing conversions are somewhere burried on Peasantry, use the magical Search button.

Mirror water you can get via hacks, I think. And there's already terrain paint in the game, and you can download more. You can fish in ponds, just not the ocean.

Where do you get hacks for mirror water? Huh Linkage please?

Hi... I'm a long time lurker / first time poster.

I've downloaded the Stories objects and love them all, but I've noticed a problem with the cs_corefuncs file.

With it in my Downloads folder, the Fountain of Opulence (which is from Glamour Life Stuff) has no animations at all. The water doesn't "appear", flow, or anything. However, if I remove the cs_corefuncs, it animates properly like it should.

For some reason, this is the only fountain in the game affected by this problem. It's strange...  Huh

The same thing happens to GLS stereo too. GLS stereo uses its own FX instead of regular stereo FX, which becomes MIA when cs_corefuncs is in.

D/Led and checked... The fountain is now fine.  Grin  As far as I could tell, the GLS stereo's animation is fine as well. The little record is spinning and the speakers are thumpin'.  lol  I didn't even realize anything was wrong with it because I hardly use stereos for my sims.

It seems that there is no animation for the coconut tree when it catches fire, so I keep getting errors during lightning storms.

I assume the same is true of the other two trees, but since Sims will starve to death instead of eating from those, I don't use them and don't know for sure.

Anyone care to share a little insight about how some of the objects with unusual functions work? I can test them myself, yes, but duplication of effort is wasteful. I'm particularly mystified by "Groove mode" on the limbo since I've never seen any additional options come up when someone else was playing the bongos, not to mention what determines success or failure at the limbo, but I'm also wondering about some of the finer points of the hot coals (performance improves with Body skill, but is there anything else going on besides 'try to walk on coals, fail or succeed based on Body'? Does it build any skill?), shaman station, and cauldron.

The presence of played bongos causes the sims to do a funny dance prior to attempting the limbo. They don't otherwise build any specific skills. The shaman station doesn't build any skills, it just produces the potions. The cauldron doesn't build any skills either, it just raises temperature and gives Moar Pee.

That is somehow boring. Maybe you can modify those objects, so for example sims can build dance skills with the limbo. Or make the cauldron moar useful as you can cook sims with it (like the Baby Roaster). Grin
