Incest: When you love your mother too much

One of my sims started randomly gossiping about another sim I have never seen before, so I checked out her memories and relationships to see who she was talking about. In her memories I found out she's an OMGH0R:


Not too odd in Sim land, really. Until you look at her family tree.


She had an affair with her son. He also has the affair memory.

I'm assuming the memories come from this scene, which had happened earlier.


At the time, I thought it was odd that mother was snuggling her son like that, but whatever. They are sims...



And then the mother got out of the bed, naked.

I don't think anything "happened" between the two. I'd taken the picture of them sleeping, then went on my way around the house until I heard the NAKED! shrieking. The wife doesn't seem to care though. She likes congratulating her mother-in-law about it.

Stuff like that does not happen on it's own.  Something is causing that kind of glitch.

My neighbourhood is on the verge of the death; I've been having a few odd things starting to happen so I'm assuming glitchiness for being a legacy lot. Neither of them have any romantic options between each other.

This couldn't be related to the "feature" that has sims get all angry and think there's cheating going on when two sims relax together, could it? Ah well. I bow to your game's level of depravity. The worst I have is a townie (2 days from death) who married my founder, then started boinking her son's wife when she died, then boinking her granddaughter when she came of age and now lives in a shack on the beach with her and their love child, sleeping on a bunch of boxes.

Dunno, but my Urban Jungle sims generally start out with MSBarrows Flat Broke beds from TSR.

In Veronaville a father got a memory of WooHooing his young adult son for some reason...

He didn't even know his son that well  I guess it was a glitch. The young adult son got the memory too though...

Yes, I was replying to you, just forgot to quote you first!  All Veronavilles tend to be headed that way from the day you start playing them!  Maybe the cleaned up versions would be an improvement.

My Strangetown was about to blow up when I did some fun SimPE finagling and have since kept it alive.  By doing so, however, I somehow copied all of the pre-made EAxis sim families and some of the townies that I had married into my CAS sims.  So, I wound up with an alien Chloe who was married to my self sim's kid who had their own child and another alien Chloe who I hadn't played. Both showed up in the family tree with the same parents, sibs, extended family, etc, but depending on the path I used to access the various families I would get either the played Chloe or the new Chloe to show up.  Because of this snafu, the game allowed Chloe's son to marry his half-niece because the son was accessed via the played Chloe and the niece through the virgin Chloe.  So, I fixed the dual character problem in SimPE, but now I have a family tree that doesn't branch.

That's the trouble with the later versions of SimPE, isn't it.  I think you can do it with SimEnhancer, but of course, it isn't free.

I have no idea what might have caused that, but my god that bed is hideous.  Toss it, the clipping is horrendous.

Methinks maybe you need Smart Beds, then they probably possibly wouldn't have decided to sleep in the same bed in the first place.

Methinks there may be something screwy going on in rel var3 (the way the game determines these things). But doesn't the game use rel var3 to draw the family tree?

Well, the family tree is obviously screwed - it's just fortunate mum is an elder or there just might be some very wierd offspring!  Maybe it's time she moved out into an old folks bungalow?

For your trashy trash needs, MSBarrows and CycloneSue from TSR. Then MTS2. Search for "dirty" "junk" and "trash".

True, all the best junk from TSR!   And Aikea Guinea and Gelydh's clothing for that trashed, "I slept in the park" look. 

My Urban Jungle started that way, but most of my sims have started "gentrifying" their neighbourhoods now, and all available teens have either gone off to college, some have come back summa cum laude, and some are still waiting to be old enough to go (I make them wait until they only have a day or two before they grow up) so I'm having to give them some new furniture and I rather think one or two should stop going around barefoot now!

My current 'hood is Queen's Cove (and really, this should be the last Sims2 'hood I have). It's kind of going in the opposite direction. Prosperity 'hood, oosely based on how Plasticbox does his 'hoods. Very OFB reliant. The first four houses are nice-to-extravagant and in this area called Badger Square. The fifth is a glorified shack thrown to the other side of the island. The business owners will always have nice houses, but now that Iyana has started up the lower class, there will be more of a variety in the quality of living. The Nuturing Bigfoot Ninja leaves his home in the woods periodically to visit the beach in all his hairy splendor. And Edmund, the resident sexist pig, has just given birth to the 'hood's first Alien Overlord.
